With faster and faster connectivity, web development is more about the leverage of design than anything else these days. Sophistication wins hearts, and good reliable technology keeps them beating.

Todays sessions will show you how, once you have designed great look and feel web apps, to align them with the most robust and scalable technology so that failure (and lost users) are kept to a minimum.

Several sessions are platform specific whilst some cross the divide in true comparitive style.
The conference was part of IxTC series 2008, provided the Irish Java software development community with a platform to meet, listen to and learn from some of the world's leading authorities on Java technologies delivered sixteen content packed session.

The ESET Ireland Evangelist Night with John M. Willis

by John M. Willis at 19:30, Thursday, 10th June

This Evangelist Night, sponsored by anti-virus and threat protection company, ESET Ireland, discusses cloud services.

The Cambrian Cloud Explosion
The Cambrian Cloud Explosion is used as an analogy to propose the IT infrastructure and operations are moving into an unprecedented period of accelerations due to changes created by open source, cloud computing, big data ideas.

This presentation will provide a complete survey of cloud computing starting with early IBM ideas, travelling through Google's implementation, Amazon's Web Services; continuing with the state of the industry as it stands in 2010.

We will also provide some insights and predictions for 2011, 2012, and beyond. The author of this presentation will argue that we are at the base of an explosion of innovation driven primarily by four factors:

Abstract and fault tolerant components
Unlimited infrastructure
World wide collaboration
Changes in intellectual property

This presentation cover the complete state of cloud computing and be useful for anyone working or planning to work in IT.

This Evangelist Evening, which is supporting our 2010 charity, the Baby Max Wings of Love fund is open to the first 50 people attending epicenter. If you'd like to join John and guests for this special presentation, make sure of your seat by buying your 2, 3 or 4 day epicenter ticket NOW!
